Barista Online
This course has approximately 20 hours of online learning prior to course commencement. Barista Online is a combination of Level 2 and Level 3 credits for Year 11-13 students. Please specify Barista Online July OR August on your registration.

First Aid Course- July School Holidays

NCEA Credited Comprehensive First Aid Course being run in the July (8th & 9th) school holidays. Max of 20 spaces available. To secure your place get a permission slip from the Careers Centre.

Need some help getting your Learner’s Licence?

Need some help studying to get your Learners License?

Youthtown is running a Learners Licence Programme that is a 6-week course that will help young people 16 years and over get their Learners Driving Licence.

The course comprises of 4 weeks of interactive teaching from the NZTA Road Code, followed by bringing students into their local AA for booking and testing in weeks 5 & 6. The cost of the programme is $150.00.

We run our public courses out of libraries and other public spaces.  The next available courses are 14/05 – 18/06 @ Eastgate Mall and 20/05 – 24/06 @ Bishopdale Library.

The requirements to join the course are that the student is 16 years or over, and will be required to provide certain official documents of identification for them to be able to book in for their test. The NZTA are very specific on the forms of ID’s that are accepted, so make sure you jump on the NZTA website and know what they require.

Comprehensive First Aid Course – April School Holidays

We have organised a Comprehensive First Aid course, with NCEA credits attached, to be run in the April school holidays.  The cost of this course is $99.  To register your interest to attend this course please collect a permission slip from the Careers Centre – signed slips and payment are due by the 8th of April.

Comprehensive First Aid Refresher

If you completed a Comprehensive First Aid Certificate two years ago, you will need to do a one day refresher course in order to keep your qualification.

If you are interested in keeping your qualification up to date, the Red Cross will be running the one day refresher course at Cashmere High School on the 4th of December. The cost of this course will be $69.00 and must be paid in full by the 19th of November 2018. You must also return the attached permission slip to the Careers Center. (If you can’t print it, a hard copy can also be picked up from the desk in the Careers Center)
